Welcome to Lionmede Bowls club

Lionmede Bowls Club became an established club in 1954. It caters for bowlers wishing to just socialise and keep active, as well as bowlers wishing to compete at County and National levels. There are many club events during the season and the opportunity to play in both competitive and friendly games for all.

It is a sport which is open to men and women of all ages and abilities, which is both friendly and competitive. Whether you’ve never played before or are an existing bowler looking for a club to join, then we would love to hear from you. We can provide tuition and coaching sessions if required. Looking for a new sport – why not have a go at Lawn Bowls?

GOOD NEWS

On Sunday 16th July, in the Annual Men’s Fours tournament at Chelmsford BC, Paul Watts, Roger Edwards, Dave Withams and Rob Duncombe won the overall competition after winning all their games in the event. There were some strong teams entered so it was a great result. Photo of the gents with the President of Chelmsford with the trophy. This was after stepping in late to replace Chancellor Park who had to withdraw!

Doreen Cox and Gina Watts got through to the semi-final match of Chelmer Ladies Pairs but after a tightly fought match lost out to Great Baddow. Good try, Ladies!
