Follow up to Fire

Lionmede members are determined not to let the fire stop us playing bowls and the wider bowls community have come to our aid by supplying pushers, mats, jacks, wet mats and score boards. The club committee are extremely grateful for all the support we have received.

The council are promising us a portacabin to use on a temporary basis until the club house can be refurbished.

Despite the prospects of this year being a bit difficult, the start of the season should go ahead and plans are being made for forthcoming events like Open day and Ladies Gala day to go ahead as scheduled.

The Essex Chronicle have recently published a follow-up story - which you can read following this link
