2014

Graham Springall

30th December 1950 - 17th November 2014

Graham was a keen bowler who will be remembered for his skill, expertise and humour on the green - and especially his very colourful bowls and shirts! He supported Lionmede in all their fund-raising efforts and the club is very grateful for all the behind the scenes efforts that Graham made.

Graham will be missed for his enthusiasm, good nature and wit.

Betty Nora Martin

14th March 1927 - 26th March 2013

Betty has been a stalwart member of Lionmede for many years. Her husband, Bill Martin was a president of the club and following his death she donated a trophy in his memory which has been presented at all the Ladies Gala Days to the winner team.

Although she has been unable to play in recent years, Betty has been a regular at all club bowls events, socials and coffeee mornings.

We all have special memories of Betty like her smile, determination and flower arrangements!

Ernie was a member for about 25 years and was a stalwart of the club winning many competitions and helping new bowlers. He will be remembered for his bowling skills and cheeky grin - 'Alright mate!'
