Lionmede Bowls Club became an established club in 1954. It caters for bowlers wishing to just socialise and keep active, as well as bowlers wishing to compete at County and National levels. There are many club events during the season and the opportunity to play in both competitive and friendly games for all.
It is a sport which is open to men and women of all ages and abilities, which is both friendly and competitive. Whether you’ve never played before or are an existing bowler looking for a club to join, then we would love to hear from you. We can provide tuition and coaching sessions if required. Looking for a new sport – why not have a go at Lawn Bowls?
The club is now open with certain restrictions in place (see Covid Guidance). We are able to host friendlies and league fixtures
We had a good respose to our last Open day and look forward to welcoming some more people on 15th May from11am.
If you are an established bowler or want to take up a new sport, do come along. Just remember to wear flat shoes.
We are based in Lionmede Park off Springfield Road, Chelmsford Essex, CM2 6BN. Our Car park is in Sandford road.
