Ashford Cup – ECBA

Two of Lionmede members, Dave Withams and Mark Hughes were members of a team from Group 3 who took part in the final of the Ashford Cup. There was an excellent morning of bowls played on a very good green at Dunmow BC.

The match finished in a tie across the 6 rinks, 3 rinks each, with a score of 104-104

An extra end was played on each rink, resulting in Group 3 winning 9 shots to 5 – What a game!

Congratulations to Group 3 for winning the Trophy for the third year running, the first time this has happened.
